While you are using Google Search for your daily search and research work, the best way to be safe is to make Google SSL Search your default Search Engine.

Now you must be thinking how it gonna be safe so read the below quoted paragraph
“When you search on https://www.google.com, an encrypted connection is created between your browser and Google. This secured channel helps protect your search terms and your search results pages from being intercepted by a third party on your network.”

For Google Chrome Users here you go :

1. Go to ” Options” and you will see window as below, click “Manage” as shown below.

2. Now click ” Add” as shown in the image

3. Here you fill “Name : Google SSL or anything” ; “Keyword : ssl or anything” and last but most important “URL : https://www.google.com/search?q=%s ” and click “OK”

4. Now select the newly created link and click ” Make Default”. Thats it now you are safe and secure..

For those using Firefox, Safari, IE, Opera or any other web browsers

Just make “https://www.google.com/search?q=%s” as your default homepage or default search engine and be safe while you Google anything next time.

Today Twitter is the fastest growing social networking site. It has increase its traffic more than 300% in a years time. As it gains its popularity so as the security risks. Here are few ways to keep your twitter account safe and secure. Follow these guidelines and keep your account protected..

Use https://twitter.com instead of http://twitter.com and your twitter session with your tweets, retweets, DMs will be encrypted.
Use strong Alphanumeric passwords for your twitter account as a combination of characters, symbols and numbers. Never use same password for different websites and email accounts.
Choose your twitter application for your computer or mobile device with care, you should not give a try to very less popular or less rated applications. My personal Advice is use Tweetdeck, seesmic, gravity, twitterberry, tweety etc
Use plugins/extensions for browsers like Chrome, Firefox and IE which shows preview for shortened links on twitter, because you may be lured to click on a malicious link to steal your twitterusername and password.
Keep your computer up to date with antivirus and anti-spyware to protect your computer from malicious links in social networks.
Twitter will never asks you to download something and asks to sign into other twitter liked websites with your username and password. Twitter will never reply to you or email you asking for your password. If such things come up to your inbox, be sure its nothing more than phishing.
Want to update your account with third party applications make sure they connect to your account where you don’t need to share your password (using Oauth protocol). Be careful of third party applications that lure you to give more followers by sharing your username and password.
Never use same password if you have multiple accounts on twitter.
Hackers may lure users with malicious links to sign into twitter similar website to give your username and password. Once they take control of your account they post spam messages and other abusive stuff from your account.
Be aware of clicking DMs containing links from unknown users. A phishing scam may targeted at you through DMs.

How to Fix Google Chrome Crash Problem

Few Days Back I used to love Google Chrome but Suddenly after recent updates of Google Chrome, I noticed that every time I start Google Chrome it crashes many times.. Then I searched a lot for fixing this problem.. And I founded this solution

What you need to do is,

Click on the Google Chrome shortcut
In Target field add “–no-sandbox” or “–in-process-plugins”
Click Apply and Try starting Chrome again..

If this is not working in your case, then may its an issue with one of the windows file named as “winhttp.dll”. Then try this

Click on the Google Chrome shortcut
In Target field add “–new-http”
Click Apply and Try starting Chrome again..

Thats it, my problem was solved with second trick and I am again in love with Google Chrome.

The web’s evolution is wildly unpredictable, but still what I see is, in 2010 twitter will face a great competitions from these following websites..

1. Foursquare :

To build something that not only helps you keep up with your friends, but exposes you to new things in and challenges you to explore cities in different ways.

It is pushing the “Here’s where I’m located” phenomena with a service/game that encourages people to become the “mayor” of anywhere and anything?

2. Posterous :

Posterous is the dead simple way to put anything online using email. We launched in July 2008 and we’ve been steadily growing and adding features.

It captured a lot of buzz a few months ago as a cross between Twitter and blog, particularly when well-known blogger Steve Rubel unveiled plans to use Posterous instead of blogging.

3. Blippy :

Blippy is a fun and easy way to see and discuss the things people are buying. Automatically share your favorite purchases from iTunes, Amazon, Zappos, Visa, MasterCard, and more.

In other words its a social media service, that lets people share their credit card purchases. For example, instead of doing a tweet about your Boxing Day activity, Blippy would automatically announce that you had just spent $149.25 at iTunes.
